One of the important lessons in Montessori teaching is sorting. Sorting establishes one of the basic principle to mathematics. Montessori believes that mathematics is an abstract concept, and it should be presented in concrete ways when possible.

It is a simple activity that requires your child to sort objects into matching sets. It teaches your child the concept of organization, by putting objects together by color, size, shape, or other concepts, such as animals, vegetation, etc. Once your child master this skill, you can start introducing counting.

In order to encourage interest in this activity, many Montessori pre-schools use our erasers. Our erasers are all natural, non-toxic, lead-free. We have a wide range of varieties to choose from, and most important of all, kids love them.

Sorting these erasers makes this basic math activity understandable to kids and fun.
